Hello again, and let's catch up!

Wow, where has time gone? It's been a while since my last post. So much has happened! This Spring brought record winds and gust speeds. What ever happened to "in like a lamb and out like a lion"? All I've experienced is an angry lion, and he's still roaring!

To bring you up to date, I'd like to tell you about some of the new items available in the store!

First, artificial foliage created specifically for outdoor use. The 4 ft. Plume to the left is one such example. These HOT new items are great for those enduring icky weather, the "green thumb challenged", or those living in a drought-stricken area! These UV infused creations are the latest rage in the artificial foliage industry! Available in many varieties, they can be used to enhance live landscapes or give life and color to a dull area. And you will love the low maintenance! Outdoor foliage is a practical solution for home or business owners who have issues with upkeep and maintenance of live plants and trees. The UV inhibitors manufactured into these pieces protect them from fading like some of the other artificial plants.

Recently, I did an outdoor arrangement for one of my customers. When her sister came to visit from Michigan, she couldn't believe her sister, living in the Southwest had such a beautiful plant on her patio. She had no idea it was artificial!

Live plants are still needed! Their beauty and flowering smells cannot be replaced! Artificial plants are a wonderful solution for times/places where live plants are impossible to maintain, or need a little "visual boost". My purpose in sharing this information is to help you understand the many beautiful artificial options for your home or business.

For more variety, I have works from several local artisans and/or collectors available in the store. They have been a wonderful addition! Randomly, I will feature at least two per posting.

Artist Marcia McNamee created some special items for our Mother's Day and Humane Society event earlier in the month. Marcia sculpts distinctive, one of a kind, creations in clay. Her recent energies are a collection of whimsical clay dogs. She's named the fellow to the right, "Too Cute", and he is!

Leslie Slape-Handcrafts colorful beaded necklaces and earrings with added extras, for a classy, yet "wow" statement! The turquoise and coral necklace to the left is a stunning piece!

As noted above, I will feature at least two artists per posting. I hope you've enjoyed the above. I'm going to put more material together for my next posting. Enjoy!
